could someone please measure a long and short
samurai half shaft and let me have the measurements
have been offered a set of shafts but don't know if
sj413 or sami

Well they are a bit awkward to measure on your own and with backplates on, but...
The long shaft I believe is 748 from the flange face to the end of the spline.
The short shaft I believe is 532from the flange face to the end of the spline.
I'd think 413 shafts would be about 50mm shorter.
