I want one so bad but apparently mot people don't like them ? Is that true loving this project shame it wasn't with a cheap sj but good work one day the sj will be like the lj and everyone will be modding the vits even though they don't compare off road !!

MOT aren't too bothered Ollie.

Your problem will be they count as a performance modification and should be notified to the insurance.

It should sound like my old SJ, got the same mate making it all up and he is a genius, using varying widths of pipe to get it all spot on, so it'll be pretty loud but only if I really gas it. Already told my insurance company about this and all the other bits and they didn't bat an eyelid.

After this is all done there's the roll cage to finish, a light bar on the roof and a custom fastback hardtop to be finished. Lot of work, not enough time!

No pics as yet but I picked up a 2 piece roof from markw (very nice chap) so the fastback design can now start. It's either that or using the old roof materials making a pick up cover like I had on my old SJ (see avatar). Might make both!

The Cherry Bomb is on!

Nice and burbly at low revs, give her some welly and she screams like a Banshee. (Sounds almost like my bike!)

Looks the part too!

It's pretty much straight through...the pipes from the block go first into a cat, then a silencer and then out the back. The cat acts as a silencer.

I junked the silencer and just kept the cat (for MOT reasons).

And thanks Dan, it's progressing nicely and cheaply too! The fastback is on hold till I can finish the rust bug, unless we get a few days of sunny weather...highly unlikely!
