Fourtrak live axle on vitara??

Hi everyone, im getting abit annoyed with replacing shafts and now my diff on my vitara, i have 3 sets of axles from old solid axled fourtraks, would they fit? Hoe much work is involved and what work?

its possible with enough time and effort.
1) you would need the gearing in the front and rear axles to match or you would get transmission windup(fitting a matching fourtrak rear axle may be the best option)
2)you need to remake the mounts to fit the axle on(this will vary depending on how you want it fitted but will involve fabrication and welding for the brackets/mounts)
3)you will have to make the steering fit,it shouldnt be too difficult to do
4)you will have to use the fourtrak brakes on it so you will have to remake brake lines.
5)you will have to cut and weld a propshaft to fit(not a diy job get a pro to do it)
i may have forgot some bits but its only a quick summary.

Is there any other easier way to get a solid axle on the front, sj, jimny?

an sj axle is popular,apparently the vitara front diff internals will fit inside an sj axle so gearing isnt an issue.
still would need to remake the mounts,brakelines,steering and driveshaft.

i think the sj axle is a bit narrower but im not certain how much narrower it is,hopefully someone else will be able to help with that.

After reading your post last night I went looking. I found this on difflock. Some amazing custom work been done by this guy, it'll give you a good idea how to go about fitting an sj axle though.

It would be intresting to see a build thread on what you do with yours.
