Calmini stockists
Calmini do a pretty comprehensive 3" lift (springs, shocks, pitman arm etc...) any body know any UK stockists?

Although calmini is a job lot, you can easily source the parts separably.
I gather that you are looking for a 3 inch spring lift. IMHO you should not really need to alter the steering, but i may be wrong.

Although just had a look at their prices and they are quite expensive.
However there are lots of other springs available, just depends what you want to do. Personally i run add a leafs (available from Llama) and these give out a healthy 1.5 inch of lift and are by far one of the cheapest ways to get a small lift. To finish of i also run a 2" body lift. These are simple to do, and if the kits are "home made" they are cheep. It only took me and another guy a hour to do a 2" body lift in the poring rain
Booted with a set of 31's it stands taller than me (6,3)
Other options are Iron man leaf springs. These are quite stiff, i run them on the rear of mine and they give 2" of lift. On the 2" line you can run RUF (rear up front) and these give a 2" boost to the front, and you can also fit Bedford rascal/Suzuki supercarry rear leafs to the rear of the sj to give a 2" lift.
Items such as brake lines and shocks can be easily sourced from companies such as Llama or west cost off road or other items can be fitted... Astra shocks, transit, and landrover all fit.

I've checked supertrux website and they only list a 5" lift or spoa. I've emailed for more details on the spoa to see what you get. Website wasn't giving much away.

thats the thing i dont like about add a leaf though (circled in red in your pic below)
They are often harder than the stock springs the stock springs wrap around them under flex! cant do your springs much good sorry to point it out henry but i only just noticed it!
calmini kits are very good but supertrux customer service is s**te and i have heard many stories about it taking months to get things off them.
I run ironman 2" lift springs available from westcoast 4x4 for around £200 the set i think. you will need to change the bushes though as the stock ones are crap!
might be worth looking at dg tuning, they are a german company but shipping shouldn't be too bad! they do all the calmini stuff as well as their own kits

they will uprate your springs, to whatever height you want for about £40 each.
when i spoke to them, they do loads of springs for off roaders,, i will be useing them when i need some upgrades.

Yes, i have heard of a some springs snapping at the ends.
Luckily i have never had a problem, and fingers crossed i wont do.

Cheers for that post andy. I've already contacted a few spring manufacturers / repair people and am awaiting replies. I'll bang an e-mail off to them too.

The search continues. If I import it myself from calmini it's £560, or if I get it from specialist leisure it's £670.
Whilst you can 'make' a kit, from reading other posts all the home made kits seem to have some issues. Not to mention the time in the mud at the scrap yard.
I have looked at the option of uprating the existing springs that's about £50 a spring but there's no guarantee how long till they go flat. So that would be £200 plus shocks, brake lines and bump stops. As mentioned above not sure if the steering needs adjusting.
