Bump Stops
Re: Bump Stops
Not sure how for off the mounting holes are, but if you're extending with box section you could drill the box section to suit;

Re: Bump Stops
Thanks guys.
Mike, nice looking setup! That's similar to what I'll probably end up doing.
Boyes, if my current ones are no good I'll probably get something like that, looks like a much better option!

Re: Bump Stops
I just run stock bumpstops but the front mounts have been moved inboard to help flex.
Stock fronts just bolt straight on.
I'm about to change the rear set up to use standard front bump stops as well.

Re: Bump Stops
Brilliant, thanks for that.
Another thing I wanted to ask was what people's thoughts are on bending axles.
How hard do you have to push it before you're at risk of bending them?
I mostly just do laning but will have a go at pretty much anything
Anyone who has bent an axle, what were you doing at the time?
Thanks!

Re: Bump Stops
wait for mike harris
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out
Re: Bump Stops
Jumping and hard landings are what bend axles, just laning and occasional pay and plays you'll be unlikely to bend an axle, I've only bent one in 7 years.

Re: Bump Stops
I'm guessing Mike's maybe managed to bend a few then?
Thanks Scottie, I try not to get too much air in the truck so should be OK!

Re: Bump Stops
I have only bent both my axles like a banana due to running silly offset wheels and wheel spacers, and having my axles not trussed properly, and not strengthening the swivel housings either. I have broke standard Sjs in the past with bent axles, but they have been through abuse.
Not to say I don't abuse my suzuki but you can't blame my axles bending when you think of the huge strain they are under. I am at the point now that if they bend or something major breaks in my axles I will go mad and mog axle it. But I don't want to do it but it will benefit me financially, as in the long run I won't need to buy axles, shafts, diffs, lockers ECT.
