Project Mud! Pick up conversion!
Project Mud! Pick up conversion!
Today I took the train and arrived at Newport at 6pm, met the girl I sold it too walked to hers with her and seen my baby again, I was soooo happy!
Jumped the battery and she fired into life, she hasn't used the car since I sold it to her soo it is in untouched condition from the day I sold her it.
I Handed over a small amount of cash chucked the in laws trade plates on and got on my way, from Newport to Bristol on the motorway she was perfect!
As i always try to do I bought this one standard, and luckily was real tidy all over unlike some ive bought, and then done a few things, lift kit wheels tyres steering wheel winch bumper new roof etc, never in the world did I think I would get her back but here she is back in my hands!
Heres a few pics I dug out of it when I first bought her 2 years ago
Here she is just before sale
Here she is back in Bristol outside my bosses house
Here she is a hour later (some mud!!)
And here she is outside mine!
I forgot how much I missed this
Sooo there she is, going to be less of a project as shes pretty much ready to go, im going to grab some new malatesta kobra tyres on jimny steels off my mate when I can and then see what else I feel like doing, but atm im happy happy happy!
Im also going to dundry off road pay and play day next sunday, I got a spare seat going to whoever wants to come along!

Re: I Have my Lovley Back!!!!
I like those wheels. I wonder how they'd look painted white.

The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: I Have my Lovley Back!!!!
I would but I'm broke and there's nothing really wrong with what I've got. Out of curiosity though, do you know what make and size they are? They look like they're maybe a 16x6 or something?rory-ray wrote:Feel free to buy them off me and try yourself man! haha

Re: I Have my Lovley Back!!!!
Ah right, okay. If I was going to change my wheels and tyres I'd want to go up to 235/70/16s, just to get a more distance per rotation, plus to make my speedo a whole 58% more accurate than it is now.rory-ray wrote:There Daihatsu independent alloys mate, if I remember rightly there 15"x8j ill have to double check, there cheap as chips if you can find a set!
