Project Mud! Pick up conversion!

Post by rory-ray » Sun Aug 25, 2013 12:15 am

Today I took the train and arrived at Newport at 6pm, met the girl I sold it too walked to hers with her and seen my baby again, I was soooo happy!

Jumped the battery and she fired into life, she hasn't used the car since I sold it to her soo it is in untouched condition from the day I sold her it.

I Handed over a small amount of cash chucked the in laws trade plates on and got on my way, from Newport to Bristol on the motorway she was perfect!

As i always try to do I bought this one standard, and luckily was real tidy all over unlike some ive bought, and then done a few things, lift kit wheels tyres steering wheel winch bumper new roof etc, never in the world did I think I would get her back but here she is back in my hands!

Heres a few pics I dug out of it when I first bought her 2 years ago

I like those wheels. I wonder how they'd look painted white.

I would but I'm broke and there's nothing really wrong with what I've got. Out of curiosity though, do you know what make and size they are? They look like they're maybe a 16x6 or something?

Ah right, okay. If I was going to change my wheels and tyres I'd want to go up to 235/70/16s, just to get a more distance per rotation, plus to make my speedo a whole 58% more accurate than it is now.

Cheers guys, the numberplate on the bonnet is sort of legal, it passed mot with it but I was advised that I may expect a word from police
