hmmm....... the only real thing I can remember about vitara brakes is that the lwb rear brakes and drum are a straight/direct swap for sj rear drum brakes and are much bigger!

I think they do, but if you got tht part there is only 1 way to find out. if they are vented discs on the vitara you will need vented discs for you sj.

Think the bolt straight onto the front.

i'll have a go tomorrow night then think its about time I did a rear disc conversion too, the brakes are shocking with 33s

Re: do vitara discs and callipers fit straight onto sj axles?
well i finally got around to doing this today and the answer is yes they bolt straight on
Re: do vitara discs and callipers fit straight onto sj axles?
they bolt straight onto the rear??
Re: do vitara discs and callipers fit straight onto sj axles?
they will only bolt on to the rear if you have done a rear disc conversion. (bases on suzuki components) Like me!
otherwise they will, as we now know, bolt strait on to the front.
you dont want them on the rear tho! they are larger than standard SJ callipers, the back being very light you would lock the rear up, crash into a tree and die. you should always have the pistons with the largest diameter on the front! i ahve sj calipers on both front and back, the back stil locks up under heavy braking or in wet conditions.
