Nice work. I plan to make something similar for my YJ conversion but I plan to make it totally bolt on and tie it into my front bumper and recovery points.

Nice work :thumbup: how much lower is the YJ mount than the SJ spring mount, its hard to tell from the picture but looks like the spring might catch the original spring mount during compression. My front relocation plates put the mount 20mm lower and 100mm back from the original and the spring slightly catches it at full bump sometimes.

Birdman this is one of the benefits, you don't need whacky shackles for good flex ;)

Thanks for the replies scottie I am 90mm pin centres but only 10mm lower but the springs are only 62mm wide and the original spring mount has a gap of 65mm so im hoping it will clear if not il trim off the bottom of the original mount a bit heres a pic from inside the mount to show the current clearance

Looks a lot better from that angle :thumbup: Are yours original YJ springs? Mine are 64mm wide so that extra 2mm should help. Mine hasn't caused an issue as they hardly catch at all really just thought I'd mention it so you can look out for it when you flex it up for the first time :thumbup:

Thanks for the heads up il check It out. The springs are an aftermarket spring from crown automotive USA I got a friend import them for me

Bit more progress this week got my mate get me some super pro bushes, I have ended up with the full yj kit but the chassis bushes were to big on both ID anx OD so I had to machine them(which aint easy as they are so soft) and make sleeves for the bores

I them made a pair of shackles with 75mm pin centres

I then pressed in the bushes and sleeves

Then fitted the shackles

A quick test for flex with the jack and springs flattened out, they have so much flex very pleased at the moment

I hope you have made a few drawings of the parts, as I might request a copy when I get around to fitting mine ;)

I wouldnt quite call them drawings more like squiggles on fag packets but im sure I can neaten them up if required

Nice job as usual! you've got some serious skills. Those high steer arms are a work of art.
looking forward to seeing how it all sits whether it be Spua or Spoa.

Thanks :thumbup: I now have the front end boxed up and finished so its now on its wheels and its an inch lower than with the standard springs SPOA with add a leafs that I was previously running so I think i will keep it like this, that way I can use them high steer arms
