Sunday Spannerfest South East... :-D

The place to socialise, and relax, if it doesn't fit into anything below it fits here, so tell us that joke, or share that story of your last off-road escapade, but remember new comers the virtual drinks are on you!

You know what, I want to be ready for Wagtail - so does anyone *actually* feel like taking a few quid off me? I'm perfectly capable of doing the work, I just have some health issues that kick my ass from time to time. Unfortunately time is something I don't have much of!

I would offer it to Robbie, but I don't think the commute would be any good for him. Dorset-SE London...???

I need some help getting this SJ road legal - and I'm actually willing to throw someone actual money to come help.

Not ollie-dollars*, but british pounds sterling.

*No offence to any Ollie's that might be reading this...

I'm in Staines so not far away. Really don't want any money from you, just cover fuel costs. What do you need doing?

If you're serious, I can probably arrange for transport and/or a bed for the night. Mum has a couple of spare rooms, but I'd have to run that past her, obviously.

Yeah, that's waaaaay too far! Appreciated though. ;)

Thanks, buddy! My health is actually improving, but not fast enough to get me to Wagtail in a Zook without hewp!

I'll give more details (postcode etc) by PM - don't wanna give an exact address on a google indexed public forum... :S
andyrew wrote: What is it that you need assistance with? Or what is the to do list?
The list (click on me!!!) of things that need doing is slowly growing shorter, but I keep finding new things I need to fix, and I'm running short on time!

Hell yeah! Could fire up a BBQ... Alcohol may also be on offer. :brows:

It's outside my mum's house though, so not too lairy/fartarse drunk would be appreciated!

No can do, if you come to help, I gots to remunerate you *somehow* - it would't be right otherwise. Fuel costs - of course - but you'd have to let me give you *something*.

Need any photography done? Family portraits? Need a crate or two of cider/beer?

Just checked the Google map and you are about 1hr 20 mins away so that surprised me a bit. Traffic will probably be lighter on a sunday. So I can pop over and help but I've followed your build thread and I'm still not sure what you need doing, apart from the Vit calipers fitted. Don't ask me to weld mind, as the last time I tried I welded my arse! Yes it stung a little

The things I'd like a bit of help with:

Make blanking plates for the rear lights, wire up and fit the defender 90 lights instead (including fog light)
Sort out the side indicators (need new ones or I could blank off the SJ ones and fit the defender ones)
Fit a new horn (tested the old one, it's dead). Have air horns I bought on ebay...
Fit the new windscreen wipers
Sort out the slop in the steering box (it's not the track rod ends, as I thought, they're tight as a duck's backside - probably just need to tighten the box)
Paint the alloys/steels to stop 'em flaking/rusting (which I've read can pop your beads!)
Flare the wheel arches to cover the tyres (I've done one so far)
Search for rust near seat/seatbelt mounts and weld in new metal if needs be
Search for sharp bits on the car (there's a rust spot or two) and use filler to make 'em smooth
Weld up and fit the exhaust (may buy a s/h one so it's just bolt up and go)
Sort out the diff breathers (run some pipe, basically)

The calipers still need stripping, reconditioning/painting, fitting and bleeding, but I don't mind that job, I can do the recon/painting sitting on my backside.
