Will Ignis seats fit an sj Samurai?

Hi any help here would be welcome. My original seats are falling apart and I'm thinking that maybe some Ignis seats will fit.?

Anyone fitted some, any mods needed?

As long as the width is alright so it doesn't hit the door and u have plenty of room between them so you can use the handbrake

My son sold some Ignis sport seats to Cyprus Geoff for his SJ/Sammi.

Drop him a PM (unless he sees this) to ask him how it went.

im trying to fit some recaro seats from an ignis in my sammy, im not finding it easy because the runneres arent level and you cant swap the subframes over or anything. depends how handy you are really.

Thanks for the info, I guess some modification would be needed (they are Ignis recaro btw). Also considering Saab seats as they are so comfortable and I'm sure I saw a thread somewhere of someone fitting some.

Well I finally came across this post - pity you didn't pm me before, I could have done piccys.

Anyway, yes they fit after making brackets etc. the seat raises your driving position bt 50mm which for me was ideal. I made cusome brackets so I could use the recarro rails as my sami ones were shot and the recarro ones gave more for and aft adjustment. I also made sure mine could be taken out if necc.

Comfy seats.

you can basically put any seat in an SJ, it just depends on what your willing to do to make it work, I've got Mitsubishi shogun LWB seats in mine..

I bought a set of ignis recaros about a month ago but they look like a pain in the arse to fit so they have been sat in the garage ever since

an absolute pain in the arse! you did what i did then, and bought them thinking "suzuki seats will fit in a suzuki easy"

the main problem is the runners aren't level, so you have to knock up some brackets to make the seats level.

then the passenger isnt to bad, you just need to re drill the holes in the floor. the driver seat is a bastard coz you got all that scaffolding guff that needs to be cut out to fit the seat flush to the floor.

worth it though.
