Ever felt like selling your sj
Ever felt like selling your sj
I'm debating on putting mine up for sale. I've built it and only ever done 2 green lanes in it. The sj is great but for last year I been doing mower racing with mates and now we are having one each and don't really use my sj. My time goes on mower racing and my son with his quad bikes. Also the mrs is on about replacing our Lexus and I would rather me have Lexus and she buys her new scooby or Leon Cupar r
Decisions decisions !!!!

Take it you missed Scotties moment of insanity?
His Zuk is forsale if someone offers him the right price. As is Karis' too.
Horses for courses. If its not getting used and you have to intention or drive to use it might as well sell it. Hopefully it'll go and give someone else a lot of fun and smiles for a bit.
Give it some thought. We all get bored / lose interest in them at some point. I just garage mine till get my motivation back.

I had a vitara about 3 years ago I got bored of. Put it up for sale for £1100 and wouldn't take no less because I didn't really want to sell it and it sold. Was abit of a regret tbh.
What's sj worth at the moment ?

All depends on spec / rot / t&t?
Theres a few on ebay starting at over £1000 and there are no takers, seen them relisted a few times. Half decent one t&t with basic mods i'd say £750.

As always only worth as much as some one is willing to pay.

Yup. No t&t knackered rot box starts about £150 - £200.
If its heavily modded (think i'm into mine for about £2500 so far this year) you have next to no chance of getting your cash back.

I couln't sell my SJ. i'v just spent to much time and money on it. I get board of it every now and again, especially when your sat outside in the rain, changing the wheel bearings for the third time that year!! But i would rather let in rot in my garden, than sell it on to somebody who couldn't give a shit about all the effort i put into it, and will ultimately paint it with hammerite, chop the back off, then give up on it, and sell it for scrap.
I'd probably think differently if it was my only car though. Its nice to drive round in a normal car for a bit while the SJ's doing your head in. But then after a few day's of comfort your dying to take the SJ out for a blast in the mud

Mine owes me a £1000. Mines rot free as I cut it out and replaced it all . My money went on tyres and wheel arches . Most exspencive part of the car lol
