My little SJ has a big electrical problem basically not much works, one night light works, neither of the break lights nor the front lights and one indicator, and the ones that do work are very tempremental sometimes they work sometimes they dont, so im thinking of just re-wiring everything that doesnt work im no electrician but how hard can it be?
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Cheers.

Re: Rip out all the electrics?
hi as a qualified electrician i would say first check all earths, fuses, and connections. Get a multimeter and a friend to help and check all items not working. For a good voltage.
Corrosion of terminals is a big problem on an off roader. My back lights stop working about once a year and its normally corrosion of the bulb holder.
I would only rewire as a last resort as connecting back to all the terminals and connectors will be a nightmare. You will end up with alot of joined cables and connectors and then the whole system will be even more likely to develop faults.
