I think the stuff mike has posted is the best for bodywork and thin sheet metal
but I always use an etch primer on thick gauge steel bumpers and rocksliders etc as it is very resistant to being rubbed off etc. There's patches on my sliders where the paint got rubbed off ages ago from me getting in and out and and them hitting stuff and the etch primer is holding up well and no bare metal is showing yet.
There's only ever need to use 1 type of primer really, once there is a good coat there's not much point primering over primer in my opinion.
whats the best primer on the market
