Depends what you call a fat boy.
Most fat boys were just custom JLXs.
The better fat boys ran 15x10 rear wheels, 15x8s on the front. Much larger plastic arches. Generally looked a lot more "tarty" for want of a better word. Lots of chrome, mirrors, steps, all the external trim.

To me that looks almost standard.

All depends what you are looking for. Not sure how it was around the rest of the UK but my local Suzuki dealer made their own custom fatboys, still do. They just took a standard JLX off the forecourt and bolted on loads of shiny extras.

That was my 58' GV. Called an Urban 4, can't buy them at any other Suzuki dealer. All upgrades and stickers were done by my local dealer. Thats how i bought it new.

I'm pretty sure no 'fatboy's or 'wideboys's are technically genuine, as Jordi says I think most of the add-ons like the wide arches and wheels were just fitted at dealers etc.

Strictly speaking it's a modified vehicle.
When doing quotes "fatboy" doesn't come up as a spec level to the best of my knowledge (just looked on confused.com too).
When you buy one check the log book. Very much doubt it will say fatboy.
Its just a JLX with wider wheels and tyres and shiny bits.

The logbook will say whatever the dealer registered it as so there must be some out there where the salesman has written fatboy or wideboy.
