hi i just had my gearbox off my vitara due to clutch going but now its back together i have power going to the car but when i turn key nothing happens no noise at all

Have you forgotten to put the wire back on the starter solenoid.

Check fuse wire

Also if you have had the gearbox off make sure you have connected the main earth cable back to the bellhousing

What he said ^^^^ there's a big earth wire that is attached on one of the starter bolts.

Argh, but if you leave this off it starts, but your clutch cable melts
