What can i say, it's rough, complete, but rough. Bonus on the 1.6 Scottie, your Dad seems well chuffed with it.
Nice to put a face to the name, i presume you left mike with a list of bits required.

Out of curiosity.... is the build quality any different to jap/Spanish SJ's? Tbh I'm really jealous, since I went on holiday to Cyprus I've wanted a lwb maruti, I'm sorry about the rust but you do have a real UK gem, I hope its this SJ which appears in next months POTM!
Re: Ralph's 1997 Maruti gypsy king
With a bit of work its going to tidy up real nice! The dent on the rear corner is going to be the hardest bit to sort but everything else really is quite minor, i.e. i dont have any welding to do just a case of putting it back together, likewise Jordi! Yeah we kinda filled the maruti up with parts, including a straight rear bumper for it as well as the tailgate
And yes jay it's one built in India.
To be honest tramp the build quality seems very much the same, it does have the old 410/413 style dash in though.

Funny that you post this now Scottie, I am actually looking for one now!!
I am told they are much nicer (more comfortable) on the road and the "law" prevnts us fitting bigger lumps here so the 16valve is an improvement over the 1324.
Friends like the idea of potentially more legroom too!
