I lost a bearing out of 1 of my hubs

so took the other 1 to the local bike shop and got a bag of them for 99p

i found it while looking for something else i dropped, lol

few pics of what ive done. going to try and repair the tank, (wish me luck)

just got the brackets for the tank, finish the tail pipe off, and put the bracket fot the filler and its ready for paint, hoping to have her on her wheels by the end of the week.

maby lol

i did try putting the springs back under the axle today, but i tried it for size, no chance with them wheels, leaves about 2 inches of upward movement before the tyre would hit the bottom of the rear bed, so it will have to stay as it was which is a shame. a hour or so wasted

I think the petrol tank is officially more weld than tank now, and still leaking a bit lol Bit more welding is needed grrrrrrr

Is the kja tank different in some way to a standard swb one?

It looks the same apart from the filler that could be adapted with a different hose.

If not I would just find a good spare. Hate trying to get a air tight weld. Maybe its just my skills!

It's the joints around the tabs for the bolt holes on the middle rib, it's a pain.

The main problem was my dad started it lol , hes no welder - I'll say no more lol.

The difference is The filler comes out the side rather than the end. If I could find another tank I'd have just used a replacement, either moved the filler or turned The tank. The problem I had was trying to find a tank for the right price. The tank price plus traveling costs = the price of a new one.

And I need to crack on with the brackets on the chassis so I can Get her painted and rolling again.

So I'll give it a go, if no luck I'll have to look for another tank. I have confidence that if I weld the seams up a bit it should be ok.

Right, got the petrol tank sorted. After hrs of filling patching and some more welding.

Popped the cab on tonight, it revealed I need to make some minor adgustments to the exhaust. Cos it's touching the body. Not as much room there as i thought lol. It's gona be tight.

Lights ordered, so I can get on with fitting the brackets for them when they come.

I wanted to have it done this weekend but works been so busy I haven't been able to. Some time off is called for me thinks.

Good evening chaps,

A list of stuff sorted.

Exhaust finished properly for the second time, tank brackets finished,
bed cut to size - think ive found some old gates to use to finish it. I think they call it Recycling

Started doing the light boxes, there isn't enough room to do what I wanted so I've had to change my design.

Load of bits came in the post, spark plugs, oil filter, bolts, new nuts for the shackles. More bolts that I wrongly ordered, ie. I ordered new bolts for the top gear box holes. I looked at the size of holes in the gear box so I ordered m10, tried them tonight and the engine hole is m12. Oops £7 wasted. So shall have to order some more and open up the gearbox holes.

Decided to nick the tow hitch off the old mans disco, so got to get that off and mount that some how..

Got a bit to do but coming along nicely, forgot my phone tonight so I'll get some nice pics soon.

Hello chaps,

means i haven't been on here since July i thought id post an update on my progress,

ive spent a while looking at it, and not doing a lot to it, and not being able to update due to a knackered computer, but due to the sales, treated myself to a new laptop. but ive decided to stop looking at it and finish it.

any way ill let the pictures show my progress.
