Only works with the ignition on. Is the radio still ok as it's normally the same fuse.

yeah radio still works fine seems weird
Re: cigarrete lighter not working
you can unplug the cigarette lighter from behind and see if there is a 12v feed at the wires:) if there is then there could be rust the terminals. if there isnt it could be a broken wire.

Re: cigarrete lighter not working
mine didnt have a 12v socket so i just made up a new one and wire it into the ignition , if not you could always take it straight of the battery and put in a fuse link

If you go on to Youtube there are some very good instructional videos on how cigarette lighters work and how to repair them. I fixed mine this way.

Re: cigarrete lighter not working
As they are fitted into plastic it is possible the earth wire is not connected. Multimeter's can be brought cheap nowadays and are a really useful little tool

Re: cigarrete lighter not working
had a look into it today had a look in the fuse box today and there is a fuse msising, but cant put one in as there no connection to hold a fuse and there is a wire to the back of ciggarette lighter
Re: cigarrete lighter not working
So why don't you find a positive feed either before or after ignition (as suits you) and put an inline fuse in to the positive feed?
