my latest idea
basically I've always wanted a MK1 VW Caddy and more recently I've fancied a LWB SJ.
Why not combine the two I hear you say?
Well....
All the standard Zook mods g16a, SU, Power steering, lobster box.
rat look the caddy with stack exhausts.
i spend pretty much every day driving down the motorway for 40 mins to work thinking about nothin but this
am I mad or should I get on the case for a engineless Caddy and a really rotten LWB??

Re: my latest idea
I take it your current LWB in good condition, because if it is then you're mad.
It's a cool idea though. Once I've finished Uni, provided I can find a job fairly quickly, I want to buy something cheap and reliable that I can just run into the ground over the course of a few years, like a diesel Ford Scorpio or something, and put my SJ in the garage whilst I save up to the money to rebuild it to (something like) showroom standard.

There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: my latest idea
Pleased to hear it. Most of the LWB that pop up for sale that I've seen are usually pretty standard but also completely buggered externally so it shouldn't be hard to find a rolling chassis with a pile of rust on top for less that £500dan_2k_uk wrote:If I go ahead I will find the most Hanging LWB possible. The general consensus of facebook seems to be that this is the best idea ever!
Bad for my bank balance... funny to show up to a Vee-Dub show in!

Re: my latest idea
It's gotta be done! I want to do a vw 1.8 20v turbo conversion in one of my sjs now, was going to do it with the golf and was always gonna go for a GV J20a in the SWB next but it could be the prime candidate! A mild tune and you're looking at 200+Bhp yeah it's not suzuki but its probably a better engine then the j20a and cheaper/easier to find.
Re: my latest idea
I'm confused Ed??? Dan doesn't own a LWBEdweird wrote:I take it your current LWB in good condition, because if it is then you're mad.
