How about Tom's Farm, south wales?

Will have to ring the bloke, but accordin to the net hes open everyday from 10am, its about £15 a vehicle, £5 (i thin) if you wana camp? could do it one weekend, saves the need to rent out a site, reducing costs? what do people think? May be abit further to travel tho!!

Just turn up no need to ring. We got there at 8 and he was open, always is. I paid £20 last bank holliday for the sj. Camping is £5 a night i think, camp anywhere you want.

My advice is go for it and see you up there

Where ever we go i was thinking later in the year august/september time.

gives us all plenty of time to arrange stuff, it would still be relativly warm for camping but still with the chance of rain to make things abit more interesting, and there are a few (including me) who's suzukis are off the road this would give a few months to hopefully get them back on the road.

To be honest I haven't had chance to arrange anything. I was still thinking Toms farm though. If people can go they can if not its not going to affect the price, its open all year round and we can just turn up!

Toms farm has closed now! however there is a site that has just opened up near swindon (kind of) called compton basset 4x4 it's a really good site and they will probably hire it out for a weekend as they often do weekend openings where you can get pissed, camp and drive around at night! it's the cheapest site i've been to as well as you don't need membership!

I have heard from compton basset and they need a rough idea on numbers before they can give a price. available dates in august and september are 1st-2nd August, 15th-16th August, 29th-30th August, and 19th-20th Sept. I will sort out a poll if people click the ones they are able to attend I will then try and organise it for that weekend.
