Identify parts please

Post by Russell » Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:53 am

Hi I am trying to identify these components, there is a silver finned item which may be some sort of rgulator and two relays, I believe they are all to do with the head lights. Any help would be appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge none of those relays are standard. If you could take some photos showing all the wire colours it may help.

You could disconnect one at a time and then see what no longer works :S

Don't have them on any of mine, might be quicker just to trace the wiring to see where it goes

That's the headlights dip dim unit (normally only fitted to Spanish models). The standard fix for these when they play up is to just disconnect it and launch it down the garden. However the normal problem is the headlights staying on all the time.
Unplug it and see if it fixes any of your problems.
