Re: dipp beam wont turn off
Hi, is it not turning off when you turn the key off?
This is pretty much always caused by the dim-dip unit.
It's there to keep with spanish regulations, which require the dip beam to come on with the sidelights...
When the box fails, you end up with lights that don't turn off.
You should be able to find the dim-dip unit in the passenger footwell, on the side wall, near the speaker and the "parcel shelf"
There should be a big plastic plug with some wires going into it. If you take the plug out it should fix the problem.

No problem, you can get replacement dim-dip units, but unless you plan on moving to Spain there isn't really that much point

Re: dipp beam wont turn off
So what does the dim dip unit do? Make dip come on with the side lights?
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: dipp beam wont turn off
Yup, it makes them come on at something like half brightness

That's a weird thing to have a regulation about, and evidently something you don't need that could go wrong.

Any one got a picture of this dim dip unit, is it an alluminium finned unit? Can you just unplug it and the lights will continue to work?
