Never heard of that before .
It is the main headlights not just the sidelights

Must be a bad earth or a short somewhere.
if it is the actual headlights i'd check the fuseboard for shorting.
if its the sidelights i'd have a look at the rear light wiring first

Well that's a new one. I wonder if it's been rewired by someone.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Thinking about it, have you replaced a brake bulb?
if the wrong bulb has been fitted it could be shorting the light circuits and putting your lights on.
try removing the brake light bulbs and see if it still does it.
OR
Do you have a towbar fitted?? check the towbar wiring for shorts

If either of the rear light clusters loose there earth it could earth via the sidelight circuit. The lights would not be as bright as normal though. If it's the headlights I haven't got a blooming clueHighlander wrote:Must be a bad earth or a short somewhere.

Have a look around under the dash near the pedals for any bare wires showing as well, there's always a chance there could be a wire hanging down that is earthing out on the brake pedal as it moves?????
