New kid on the block
Hi to everyone my name is ian palmer and i own a 1980's? sj410. My sj is not road legal but as i work in a gravel pit it doesn't matter, i have owned her about a year, she still has original engine, gearbox and running gear but her body is new and is made out of old road signs!!! You will see what i mean in the pictures, i have put 2" lift shackles on her fitted greenway macho tyres put a new clutch in, fitted a new fuel tank in the back removing the old tank underneath, fitted a battery kill swith and button ignition. I am hoping to fit a 1.6 lump and put the leaf springs on top of the axles so i can fit bigger wheels of which i would be very grateful for any advice on the matter. I look forward to your comments and meeting some new friends.

Hi Robbie no she was complete when i brought her, all i have done to the body is fit landrover discovery front lights, fit defender wheels arches and put a custom vitara roof on her which i am now in the prosess of changing to a hard roof. I will put some pictures up of her when i first had her.ROBBIE wrote:hi did you build the body?

That's great! That body looks brilliant! A proper box.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Welcome to the site, when I see your pictures I can't help but think 'landrover lightweight' I do like it but won't be doing the same thing to mine!
