Hi!
Ive recently bought a Samurai, with a few mods to it
It looks as though it has add-a-leafs on, as there are 4 leafs in each pack, also it looks like its got polybushes fitted which indicates they've been off.
But also at the front it looks as though it has what I assume is stock shackles at the front of the spring, around 2-3" long. But on the rear springs, at the back of the vehicle, it has extended ones, more like 7" or so long?
However the vehicle sits perfectly evenly in height, front to rear. From what Ive read, long shackles arent ideal, but surely fitting short ones again will then drop the rear height?
The rear springs look fairly flat sitting in comparison to the fronts. Ill try and get some pics of it all in the next few days.
On another note, the rear shocks have been modified to mount in the centre, @45 degrees, onto a horizontal bar, but it seems they dont fit very well and if you bounce the back of the car, the top of the shock moves up a bit like the bushes are shot, i.e its not tight to the bar so rattles a bit.
Any ideas?
sorry for the long post lol

It sounds like someone's done the same as me!!!
I was cheap and only got a couple of add-a-leaves when I got offered them for basically nothing!
I started off with (massive) 3" lift shackles on the front and back, then got a couple of add a leafs, chopped the front shackles shorter and stuck the add a leafs on.
Cheapest way of lifting your suspension without completely ruining it IMO!
With shackles all round you get stuck on the front ones all the time, with addaleaf in the front, you only get stuck on the rears, mostly when you're past the obstacle anyway
