Ive always thaught it was a samurai as its got the samurai badges on the dash and wings and i also replaced the rear diff with a samurai diff and it was the same ratio.

Might have had a body swap at some point?

You can tell a samurai from a 413... on a 413 the springs are directly below the chassis rails
On the samurai they are further apart than the chassis rails and at the front

Sammy - the springs are out-board, the bonnet has the Sammy bulge, the wheel arches are plastic & it has the Sammy rot inducing sill trim

91 should be Spanish & I'm pretty sure its a sport. What it says in your logbook depends on what the dealer wrote down when they were registering it, so many sj's can be the same model but have different things wrote in their log books

Might be worth checking the chassis number ties up with the log book too.

As most of these zuks are at least 20 years old now, there will be all sorts of interesting history behind them :)

JX, VBJA, QBJA, and VJX are all trim levels that can apply to Samurai models

You can also get QBJA 410s... apparently QB is a 410 trim level

410 - JX, Q, QB, QBJA, QJA, V, VB, VBJA, VJL, VX, VW, WVX
413 - JSB, JX, QBJX, QJX, VJX, VSB, VX
Samurai - JX, QBJA, VBJA, VJX, Tobago, Sport

Those codes also relate to what the body style is  i think it's the first letter

VBJA is hardtop
QBJA is soft top

I think :er:
