It must be legal, because the Discovery 3 and 4 have a double chassis. That's why they weigh in at over 3 tons/tonnesturbo-tom wrote:there was enough of that on another forum cough coughtrotter wrote:is a chassis on a chassis even legal??
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

If "stacking" a chassis doesn't require an SVA I'll trade my SJ for a defenderEdweird wrote:It must be legal, because the Discovery 3 and 4 have a double chassis. Re: monsterr sj
Its not quite the same, coming from the factory with a twin chassis doesn't really compare to welding one chassis on top of another.Edweird wrote:It must be legal, because the Discovery 3 and 4 have a double chassis. Re: monsterr sj
IVA, not SVA these days and even if it did need IVA it's unlikely that the double chassis aspect of things would be the most challenging aspect of the IVA test, as it doesn't have a direct effect on passenger safety (although it could have a major effect on safety in an accident!).Tramp wrote: If "stacking" a chassis doesn't require an SVA I'll trade my SJ for a defender
