quick drum question

Post by mk1joe » Thu Mar 01, 2012 8:20 pm

hi,
ive been having a little trouble getting the rear drums off, i should have taken them off a long time ago but i let it slide till now. i think there pretty stuck and i have tried freeing them up with a hammer but no luck, ive also tried fitting a puller on there but the bolts in the middle get in the way. im not sure about the ring around the outside with screws holding it on, ive never seen one before so i dont know if it needs to be taken off?
thanks
joe

u dont need to take the outer ring off, i snapped the screws trying,

after trial and error, this is how i done the 2nd side,

i took the middle nuts off, put the wheel back on

and hit the tire with a big big hammer,

once it started coming off,

took the wheel off and tapped it off,

worked a treat.

From the workshop manual. I made my own though.
