Nice one liljitjit, thats what i was aiming to get, but didnt know what to look up, might try BnQ for the guttering equvilent. am trying to keep the cost as minimal as possible,

If you wana keep prices down, I've heard of people using fray bentos pie tins painted black and put on top of there snorkel. Just remember to cut plenty of holes round the top of the pipe to alow air flow.

I think iceland are doing them for about £1, you get dinner and the top of a snorkel for that, BARGAIN! lol

I have also heard of folk using an upturned soap dish but from where it came i dont recall. B and q do a cage type of thing to stop leaves goin in your down pipe

one of those with some pond filter foam in would work a treat . I like your ethics tho same as mine if i cant make it or get it for dirt cheap then my truck wont be gettin it ! I think theres more satisfaction if you do it blue peter stylee! Liking the work Im fired up to do some more to mine now!

Well i just had beans for dinner, so its gona be a tin can with a 20p sponge from wilkos stuffed inside or a pair of the wifes tights rolled over a few times, i am also using a metal shelf to repair the rusted sill,

cant fault ya my best bits of engineering are the freebies. Keep your eyes peeled you find allsorts out and about I found a recaro fibreglass shell bucket seat whilst at work !!!! Got be good for nowt. Bean tin snorkel top ? shape it with the tin snips and weld it up paint it jobs a good un.
