Tmax winches
Tmax winches
Has anyone used one? Was thinking about getting one as a 4x4 shop is selling them locally
Re: Tmax winches
I know people who have used them, they aren't the best but they aren't the worst look after it and it'll look after you: like most winches. If you just abuse it and don't service it will eventually let you down: like most winches
They are a mid-range winch so will give you average performance
Better than the cheap crap on ebay, but not as good as a warn or superwinch

Re: Tmax winches
Sweet i was going to get a goodwinch but I realized how much of my grill I'd have to cut out :(
Re: Tmax winches
why would you need to cut out your grill for a goodwinch but not a Tmax? depending what model you get they are the similar sizes.
You don't need to have the solenoid box mounted on the motor, you can move it wherever you want if you extend the wiring.

Re: Tmax winches
I'd go for the bridge model of goodwinch tis a fair bit bigger then the smaller tmax, but seeing the price difference I think I'll get a spare grill, a grinder n a goodwinch
Re: Tmax winches
I personally wouldn't go for the 'bridge' model as you can't move the solenoid. it's also harder to get to if you do ever need to service it.
I know the goldfish winches are supposed to be water proof but I'd still rather mount the solenoids in the engine bay etc. so that they don't see as much crap as they would do on the front.
