this isnt really a build thread as i havent really taken pics as ive gone along but ill make sure i take some pics as i go along
my first sj
my dad bought me this beauty when i was 15
as it had been broke into we stripped all the interior out the seats were ruined so buckets went in, as did some 3 point harness'
the paint was looking abit tired so me and the old man set to and repainted her
and i bought a hard top so i could bin the old white soft top and smacked a set of insa turbo saharas on it
a black soft top came up so i bought one and ive stuck with the rag top since
and popped some checker plate on the bonnet so the waffle boards didnt rub the paint all off
got some lights for the front as i needed a touch more light for when i was greenlaining
then at a trial one of me mates gave me his old bikini top so i whacked it on and i thought it looked pretty smart
then my leaf springs started to sag so i did an add a leaf on it, my handling is so much better and rides so much better then it did previously, i also got a couple more lights for the front and put some fwh on her
i also made a new tank guard and have a roll cage to go on when im abit older
samurai
possibly the best fluke ive had,
my nan lives in north devon and i popped down to see her one weekend where on route i saw a spoa'd,caged and pickup/traybacked samurai in a garden i was talking to a relative down there who told me the engine was shot and it hadnt moved for ages
so i bunged the bloke an offer and got a new toy
changed the engine and jobs a goodern
the previous owner said when i bought it hes not changed anything on it and had just punished it so alot of spanner time later and she was ready for her first run out at a punch hunt known as lead boot
the comp went very well, infact me and my dad won it so we were chuffed
the specs are caged sammy still a 1.3 engine, 31" bronco grizzley claws, spoa with pro comps es3000 and a stupid amount of lights

just after i bought the samurai a mate said he'd viewed a samurai with a head gasket gone so i went down to see it so i could cut it up for spares for my samurai i got there and it was a 410 i wasnt too sad cos it was a f**king clean 410
the head had gone :( but ive replaced that now and here she is
i have got the bull bars but had to take them off so it would fit on the van lol
