Samurai front badge / emblem lost
Samurai front badge / emblem lost
Hi all,
I recently towed my '93 Samurai from Botswana to the South African West Coast - just over 1000 miles on an A-Frame - no problem. But when I got to the destination, I noticed that I lost the chrome S (SuperMan) badge off the front grill.
Anyone got a replacement and willing to mail it to South Africa for me ? I can PayPal etc.
Kindly PM me.
She just does not look cool without it !

Hi Dom,
Good thanks, been fairly busy. But go the time to do a clutch, pressure plate, thrust bearing and clutch cable before I took Sammy down to the coast.
Herewith a pic with the S-badge still in place.

Hiya Rich !
It is a common grill in our part of the world on the Samurai versions of SJ413. The older SJ413 actually had the word "Suzuki" on the grill as far as I know.
But great, sooner or later someone will stumble onto one. Suzuki lost out during buy-outs and changeovers in the motor industry in South Africa. The SJ and Vitara cars were imported and distributed in Southern Africa by the former Delta Motor Corporation in South Africa (Opel / Isuzu /Suzuki). A couple of years ago the Delta bunch were turned into GM again. At that stage they dropped the Suzuki lineup. We started loosing spares availability. Suzuki is now back in South Africa under Suzuki's own banner. But the cosmetic odds and sods for the older vehicles are not freely available.
The SJs are so popular, that they do not exist in breaker-yards !
Anyways, I'll keep the forum posted if and when we find one.
