Rather embarrassing!

Post by dan_2k_uk » Wed Nov 23, 2011 1:33 pm

When I was stripping the chassis for paint I cut off all the old handbrake mounts (I have t-box brake now) and other odds and sods that were not needed.

I got a bit trigger happy with the grinder and thought I would loose the old front towing eye as it was causing the front bar to bend!

Just gone to put the steering back together and IT HAD THE STEERING DAMPER MOUNT ON IT!!!
:headbang:  :pissed: :headbang:  :pissed: :headbang:  :pissed: :headbang:  :pissed: :headbang:  :pissed: :headbang:  :pissed: :headbang:  :pissed: :headbang:  :pissed: :headbang:  :pissed:

Could someone please measure roughly how far across and low down the stud is supposed to be so I can make a new one up and weld it back on!!!

Thanks

D  A  N

I would suggest just tacking it on first though and checking it goes from lock to lock ok.

We all do it.

I was cutting my transmission tunnel out and cut straight through my wiring loom  Luckily I needed to do it anyway to re-route the wiring
