broken props
if you brake a rear prop would it be ok to remove it and drive in 4wd??

Well I wouldn't recommend it but I have seen people do that without a problem. I know if the prop failed that's what I'd do to get home..
As long as it's just the prop and nothing else :IE just a UJ collapsed.

I drove one on the road for a year like that with no probs.

cheers guys its not me its the son-in-laws jimny we took the rear off last week because the sliding joint has broken. so hes been using it in 4wd but now the t/box seems to be on its way out

Well, the forces on the t-box will be coming from a different direction when in front wheel as opposed to rear, maybe SUzuki skimped on bearings or something with the Jimny

Jimny boxes aren't as strong as SJ ones as they are chain driven. Should be able to pick one up cheap enough as a lot of people upgrade them to sj transfer boxes

I've found my SJ becomes very wheelspin happy when only on the front prop!

thanks for all the replies we got a replacement box all sorted now seems you cant use a jimny as front wheel drive and tow a trailer
