wiring in ford altenater

Great... Another Q iv got is, iv been tidying up the wiring tonight and iv got 2 wires, yellow and white, quite thick wires. 1 runs from the +ve terminal to come what i think came off the alt, the other runs from inside the cabin and along to the same position as the other wire. Do these ring any bells or have they been added. I havent look were it leads to inside the car yet, it was dark :-(. They definitely lead to where the alt is tho

Is this sorted. I used to have that alternator as standard and was wondering whats what for connecting to the vit one.
