1.6 16v in an samurai gear box

Post by Brooem » Sun Oct 02, 2011 8:56 pm

Alright guys, just managed to get hold of a cracking 1600 16v engine but will it go onto the samurai gear box like the 8v ones do...? I have found write ups but they seem to be the 8v ones... Do you really need an adapter plate..? I've seen a few people stick the 8v in just by doing a bit of dremmeling...

Anyways will the 16v go in on the samurai gear box...?

Same block as the 8v just different pistons as far as I'm aware so you could probably do the bolt up and drill method
