2011 SCUK winter meet, 11th Dec @ 4x4Without a Club

Post by dan_2k_uk » Sun Aug 28, 2011 1:47 pm

As there was talk of this a week ago in another thread I thought I would create one for it.

We need to start getting ideas, numbers, dates etc together.

I guess it would need to be pay and play site again rather than camping somewhere as I think last time the issue of some people not running road legal trucks was raised and its not fair.

Plus I ended up being one of those people who had to turn up on a trailer

From the look of the members map I would guess the bias is towards the south but to keep things fair im sure if a decent central location can be found then people can travel.

Anyone got any input on this please comment.

I'm gunna start off by saying I'm still a fair way from being back on the road but am sure this will prompt everyone to get their arses into gear!

Someone with some photos of the last one stick them up to get the excitement flowing!

Prehaps we could do a days laning and a p&p following day?

Most of us will have spare seats for people to jump in. Im not overly bothered where it is going to happen, i shall probably trailer it to where ever and if we go laning i can still take the sj.

Loads of lanes around North wales. but i think im one of a small amount thats around this way.

Not sure I'll make it as I'm doing a little bit of work to my SJ.
Might be good to start thinking about organising 2012 dates..Maybe april and october '12, give us all time to book weekends off from work??
Either way.. This post is in my watch list :doublethumbs:

But will my sj be finished this year :hahaha: :hahaha:

I was perhaps thinking core as I get on pretty well with the owner and could probably hire the site for a weekend easily however it would be quite a mission for the Welsh boyos being down by chichester

I don't know about all you guys but I'd prefer quarry based site and not a mudfest

Interested, but likely I wouldn't be able to go.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Quarry does sound like a shout.

Spending a day covered in clay is fun but getting up the next morning hanging and gettin back in the truck isnt he best. especially if the weather is anything like the sunday last time!

Scottie if I can get mine sorted i'm sure you can finish yours!

I've pretty much sorted everything but the arches now.

Then its just fitting the vit lump and finding some seats, a headlight, making the handbrake work, and king pin bearings
