Know exactly what i need to do for next week. Just need to get the parts delivered so perfect while I am on holiday I can get lots of stuff delivered.

Think i have now got the message about lama 4x4. Everyone seems to be constantly telling me to give them a call so I will do that on Monday.

Right it's MOT'ed which means I can move it about to work on it.

Not tax'ed yet, but just need to go down to the local post office when I intend to drive her.

For the time being she is sitting on the drive way, stripped the insides out so I can give it a good wash and a lick of paint :)

Engine was VERY hot when I was home today, so will need to look at that ASAP. Got replacement head gasket, strangely it isn't loosing water but need to check the water pump and thermostat etc and make sure everything is running as it should be.

Spent today painting the inside with white hammerite. Now working on the wiring.

The amount of stuff I have taken out is amazing. Everything still works, apart from the hazard warning light but do you need that as an MOT requirement?

Amazed at how a previous owner has bodged so much!

Thanks, wired my spots back in, something wierd with the relay going on, but think I've sorted it so will look tomorrow, along with the speedo (mine stopped working when I was driving :hahaha: )

Think the battery may be VERY dead, causing all sorts of issues, though on the plus side I have a working alternator as the lights are rather bright!

Trying to sort the door locks now. Took the drivers barrel apart and put it back together so have a door lock of some form, you can use a screwdriver to turn it.

Soft top has arrived today, but too much rain for me to see whats what.

Two antennas on the front now :) One for CB and the other for HAM.

Getting there, after next week I will be happy, hope to have done timing belt, head gasket, air filter.

Drove her for a weekend when I was camping, all seems to be running well, apart from the wining transfer box.

New battery makes a lot of a difference now. £50.00 from halfords :D 520 amps H075 I believe. The spot lights are BRIGHT! The previous battery would not hold any charge as it dropped a cell so constantly had to jump start her.

Arrived back home today, and within in 2 hours, head stripped off engine stripped and head is in for skimming. The head gasket wasn't gone and the water seems to be ok and she isn't overheating. Surprisingly the exhaughst manifold bolts came off easily.

New car, had no idea what the engine is like, so decided to do the whole lot in one go for piece of mind. New timing belt and tension-er will go on on Wednesday, along with the head gasket set.

Intend to cut the bonnet as well and make some form of air filter work as well and then thats the majority of the major work done.

Need to play with the brakes, she pulls to the left but just have to strip one caliper down and clean it up, do a fluid and filter change.

Rear windscreen washer bag installed, however still cannot get the rear windscreen wiper working :argh: but I might hack the loom to bits and put my own in.

Current problem is the sump hits the Diff if you do any major off road stuff, or hit any bumps in the road at speed, so need to get a 1.3 sump, or take it off see whats underneath it and cut/weld it. Will look at that on Wednesday if I get the time.

A lot of stuff planned for Wednesday!

Will upload pictures asap, for now time to rest and if I get some time clean up the manifolds etc.

I know that in mine if you lift the revs slightly suddenly everything gets brighter.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
