Hi Guys thanks for the welcome and comments, we bought the zook to see how cheaply we could make a capable off roader capable of taking on the larger challenge trucks, and this little green truck is a giant killer, Has anyone any experience of fitting Vitara 4.88/5.12 diffs to their trucks and how does this compare to a rocklobster xfer box conversion, obviously the diffs is a cheaper conversion.

A bit tight in fairness, but as we need to address the gearing first, its running on 235X75X15's at the moment, A friend of mine made a set of wheel spacers which bolt to the suzuki axles and take landrover rims so we have a big choice of tyres here.
anyone any advice on the diff question above?

Hi matey!
I have just added a write up to the DIY section ^^^^ it needs a few more details added to it regarding setting up the bearing preloads and backlash but it should give you a good idea on where to start.
It's a good conversion for running 33s with standard tbox gears and should work well. not sure if I would advise it if you would be using your sj on road and had tyres smaller than 33" though.
