hi and welcome fella.......personally i'D not worry about the shocks....I'd get rid if those shackles....they are nothing but trouble....they(if not already) will :rhinohump: up your springs.....leaving them useless and can be costly to replace. what size are ya tyres?

It's just got standard wheels & tyres, I did really want to keep the shackles on it because I like the look of it up high. Do you know if series 1-2 land rover rear shocks would fit okay to the rear my car & will vitara front shocks work on the rear of my car? Sorry 4 late reply my tinternet been down.

If you don't want to be replacing your springs when the shackles knacker them, I would invest in some add a leaf.

£90 will do both axles, you can fit it with basic tools... much better approach and departure angles.

if you do decide to go down this route, speak to dave at llama 4x4

As for shocks, I've had standard shocks, which can bottom out and break with lift... Pro-comp shocks, probably only really get them on ebay... I would get procomp ES1000s if you get procomps, 1000s are soft-ish and 3000s are rock hard.
You can use vauxhall astra shocks, but I find them a bit soft on the front... Good for the back if it's a soft top

My mate had rough country shocks on his and they were pretty good.

land rovers wiegh about double an SJ so wouldnt work well, as in they wouldnt compress and extend as quick on road.
