well got a half day at this beast today, before i stabbed myself in the crotch area with a screwdriver. wee bit of blood, lots of pain.

well what i got done, doesn't seem too much.
removed the rollcage as it was made from 35mm pipe, very light guage.
made a new A-frame
repositioned the exhaust, which was supported by part of the cage.
put in a landy disco airbox, cleaned the carb.
took out the rear WOODEN bulkhead, to be replaced with 2mm galvo sheet.
and finally cut the pipe to make a roll bar, just needs bent.
sorry no pics until wednesday

How long do you recon it will take you to do all the stuff you have planned?

well to do everything on the list will take 3 or 4 full days. but to do all on my mind list will take alot of time.
I'm off tonight to look at an sj413, complete with removable hard top, rear locker, rock sliders, and apparently rust all sorted, if its in better condition than mine, it will be the project, using parts from ole yellow to complete.
pics of progress tomorrow

i have a full engineers workshop at my disposal, thats why i can work so fast. added to the fact that i only work 3 nights a week

You should chop up the worst one into a trayback and use all the toys from the good one on it.
Then sell the good one to make some cash back.

We gotta keep the good ones full bodied and on the road

At the end of the day it is up to you though

the good yoke has a log book, and if in goodish condition, will become a road goer, only time will tell. :rhinohump: could end up 1 screwing the other lol

Can't say I blame you I sold my 87 410 van for 280 and that was solid. (well after a lot of welding by a previous owner  )
