Power steering with steering damper or not ??

A technical question for all you experts out there I have just purchased a 1600 engine for the SJ and it comes with the power steering set up so I will be using this, my question is would I still to need to fit a steering damper ? I am running 31" grizzly claws with quite a high lift and Im told you dont have the damper when you have the power steering fitted ??
