front porp removal ?

Hi peeps i have got a 1983 samurai and i just want to constant 2 wheel drive as its never going off road is it ok to remove the front prop and use it without it, anybody done this or any help or thoughts on it.

Not done it but you will be fine. Do you have locking hubs on the front? Make sure they are unlocked aswell. Save any load in front axle

They're 2wd normally anyway. Removing the front prop wouldnt gain anything especially without freewheeling hubs.
If you have freewheeling hubs you could just turn them to free and there would be no drag on the front axle or prop.
