1991 Santana Samurai
Re: 1991 Santana Samurai
Sorting out bonnet hinges. All 4 No bolts loosen which is good news.
Re: 1991 Santana Samurai
Adding some additional rear flasher lights.
Re: 1991 Santana Samurai
As rear flasher lights were LED's needed to add in a resistor.
Area still needs tidying up but in position.

Just swap to a led flasher relay. There are under £10 on eBay. Just need to order one that is the correct polarity.

All bulbs are non LED except for the 2 new rear side lamps. So I felt I only needed to add resistors to cover them. Is this not correct?

Re: 1991 Santana Samurai
When I only had led fronts I didn't bother with resistors. But when I went full led, I did as scottie suggested.

You don’t actually need the resistors if they are additional lights as you still have the resistance from the factory bulbs for the flasher relay to work correctly. They are only
needed if your are replacing any of the original indicators with leds.
However it’s just easier to swap to a led flasher relay anyway, these still work with normal bulbs, they just don’t need the resistance from the bulbs to set the flash speed.
Re: 1991 Santana Samurai
For all sorts of reasons work on "Sammy" has been very stop / start.
Got bonnet hinge area welded up and hinge itself free to move easily. Was well clogged up and took a lot of time to free-up properly.
Looking at headllights as originals were 45/40 watt. Plan on 60/55 w H4. Looked at a way of inserting a H4 bulb into the existing casing. Seemed a no go.
