Finding new standard (OEM) leaf springs for SJ410

Post by djc » Mon Feb 12, 2024 10:13 am

Anyone help please - want a set of 4 new leaf springs for my SJ. I will also replace dampers, bushes etc, but finding leaf springs is proving difficult. I know you can get India made Maruti ones on eBay cheap, but I'm not sure about quality. Jimnybits used to do the German Trailmaster but don't anymore. I've called quite a few places but no luck.
Does anyone know a source for good quality OEM spec leaf springs please?

If they are actually genuine Maruti springs quality will be fine. The hard part is ensuring that they are actually genuine maruti.

Avoid LesJöfors springs, they used to go flat really quickly.

This place should be able to help. They will ship to the UK.

Might even be worth just trying your local suzuki dealer.

Excellent Scottie, thanks for help. I'll try that link and also investigate Maruti again, basically try all those options.
I also wonder if Trailmaster maybe still make them but no-one in UK stocks.
If / when I succeed I'll report back.

I’m pretty sure Old Man Emu also used to make stock height as well as +40mm, not sure if they still do the stock height ones but might be worth checking as well.

I checked out their website and was amazed how many products they had and at very reasonable prices. Excellent recommendation.

I called them yesterday - loads of interesting stuff but don't stock SJ springs. They may have non-standard, didn't ask as I want original spec.

That's the second recommend I've had for these (someone on an FB SJ forum) so I will investigate. I've phoned loads of UK places now, no luck. Seems likely I'll need to get them from Europe, not here in our land of opportunities  ... 20% vat and duty, here we come.

I contacted Suzuki-Deily.sk regarding delivery to UK. This is the response I received.

"Good day, DPD has suspended delivery to the UK. in the course of 1.Q we are preparing a new e-shop and we will try to solve this as well"
