Santana fusebox, pre history!

Post by Toodlepip » Thu Oct 01, 2020 7:32 pm

I appear to have a fusebox fitted that is a little prehistoric! If anyone can shed any light on colours/rati gs of fuses, if it's possible to get cover(s)for it or, even better, a blade type one from this century that I can replace it with it would be much appreciated.

That's not the original fuse box. tbh it's probably an upgrade over the original Spanish one

I recently installed one of these into a friends Spanish Sj, you will need some ratchet crimps for non insulated terminals.

If mine's an upgrade I dread to think what the original one was like! Looks like I'll be doing some fuse pulling to find out which circuits I isolate to narrow it down. Many thanks for your reply, and for the post industrial revolution fusebox info. I definitely see a replacement in my future.
