94 Suzuki Samurai - CAT OR NO CAT?

Post by SMITHEREEN » Wed Jul 29, 2020 3:27 pm

So recently purchased from Ebay (blind buy).

It's got an MOT til December (God knows how).
Anyway the goal is to get it through next MOT priority number 1!

Smells like the exhaust is leaking so...

First off, looking at exhaust replacement it doesn't look as if it has a Cat converter - question is... should it have one it's a 94?

Nope. Doesn't have a cat.
If it ticks over...leave it

If it's an SPI model then it probably had a CAT, my mates 95 samurai with SPI had a CAT. If its on a carb then no CAT.

94 was the year they changed over from Carb to SPI so there's some with and some without.
