Site very quiet?
Re: Site very quiet?
I'm still checking in occasionally, i'm barely getting up the workshop to work on the suzukis anymore though
Re: Site very quiet?
I haven't been on here for a while, i started a new job, split up with the Mrs of 7 years, trying to keep the Jimny on the road, and becoming a trustee for our local 4x4 Response group.
On a good note, I have now purchased a SJ!

Re: Site very quiet?
Site is quiet, sj`s on the road are a rare site now, but how many are parked in a corner just waiting to to come back in use. Most new members are running much newer vitaras or jimny`s which dont have so many diy mods so maybe not so many spannermen busy like we use to be!!!!!!!! Plus off roading and winch challenges fading away to through various reasons. Look on e-bay to see how few sjs and sammies are for sale, they cant all be scrapped. Bring on summer, get the trucks out.

Still pop on too have a look occasionally, few whatsapp messages between the usual suspects showing progress/despair. Minor suzuki progress between Astra and disco tinkering.

The main thing keeping my Suzuki progress slow is my boat......
Keep dreaming up potential Suzuki projects though while I’m doing it.... can’t wait to have it liveable so I can build some badass Suzuki’s.
Still more welding and fabrication to go mind. Maybe I should start a build thread

Re: Site very quiet?
What do you mean maybe?
SJ's are getting *really* rare now, got pics? I think my next offroading Zuk will have to be a Vitara or a Jimny (my wife loves Jimny's). If I ever get into a position where getting another vehicle is feasible...

Scottie I`ve been told more than once, the two best days of owning a boat" are the day you buy it and the day you sell it!!!" So perhaps a build thread would be interesting to watch. While we still have sjs and sammies parked up, at least they still exist and there is a chance that one day we will get them back on the road, even if only for second vehicle.
