This thread just amuses me.
Just a series of “went out today and (something) fell off”
Followed by “ordered this and it should solve the problem”
Keep up the work bud.

It is a laugh a minute. But she is an old car and repairs are almost daily but nothing major. Looking for a set of decent HT leads now, not the cheap as chips option lol. New dizzy cap arrived, £6.50. Bargain!

She was still running like a bitch even with the new dizzy cap, so I got some new leads and put them on, doing the coil one and it was fried! Running like clockwork now. I have ordered new plugs and a rotor arm too, the plugs are fine but now 6 years old and the rotor is gawd knows how old, may as well take it further and do an oil and filter change too while I'm at it.
I'm basically just trying to keep busy so I can think of other things...

Cheers Tim, you will! Bloody indicators and hazards just packed up, bet it's a fuse.

Not a fuse. Changed the lot (all 3 lol) and cleaned up the fuse holders with a wire brush. Nope. Cleaned the contacts on the actual stalk. Nope. Lads said it's the relay and there isn't one until Scottie said the relay is a big 'ol metal box with 2 wires coming out of it. OK I see that but only one wire going in I must have knocked one out somehow, so I'll have another look tomorrow.
Electrical test shows no power there...now I know why lol
But genuine NGK plugs here (more fakes than real ones out there) and a new rotor arm
Seeing Piglet6 is running better than I have ever known I'll leave them for now. I'll just do the oil change instead!

Still no indicators. Ordered a new 2 pin relay that should have arrived today. Bloke never ordered it. New bloke has, then contacted a mate of a mate who's a car electrician, he says he can look at it on saturday. Nah. Called the AA. 20 mins later he rocks up and 1 hour later I have 5 working indicators. 1 side one refuses to work. Still think electricity is the work of Satan. Might have to get the mobile chap in anyway.
In my own defence I did try to fix it myself. Made new earths etc but I am bloody useless at automotive electrics

I know it sort of worked and got you 5 indicators, but have you no shame? The AA man!
