So I'm driving home Thursday night and the low oil pressure light starts flickering intermittently (same thing happened last year) so yesterday I took a drive to Euro car parts to pick up a new filter and oil,
On the way home the oil light comes on permanent and less than a 1/4 mile from my house I break down yup, didn't take long for the bottom end to go and now it sounds like spanners bouncing around inside the engine!
Anyway, I had bought a 1.6 vitara engine & adapter plate a couple months ago so tomorrow the old engine is coming out ready for the new one

Ouch! I like having my oil pressure gauge as I can keep an eye on it a bit better... bought a pack of 3 gauges and a 3x pod now mounted on top of the speedo. Speedo itself doesn't work but temp, presume and voltage do so it's all good

I might look into this for the new engine, is an oil pressure gauge easy to fit?

Yeah its easy. I just removed the sensor for the light from the block, and put the gauge sensor in it's place.
You can get a t-piece for them but do you need a gauge and a light? lol

Careful though, nearly all aftermarket senders are 1/8npt and the block thread is 1/8bspt.....whilst the 1/8npt will start to thread in its not a good fit and shouldn’t be screwed straight into the block
